Referrer Tracking - You can use this script to see which websites are sending you the most traffic. You can use this script to see which websites are sending you the most traffic. Useful for seeing which search engines your visitors and coming from and which keywords they are using to find you. Every website that sends you traffic will be logged, along with the number of hits they've sent. You can view this information from a password protected control panel. Raw hits and unique hits are counted. A unique is somebody who hasn't visited your website in the last 24 hours. If, for example, they visit your site twice within a 24 hour period then it will count (and show up in the statistics) as one unique hit and two raw hits. This way you can tell how much of your traffic is unique, and how much represents repeat visits from the same people within a 24 hour period. You may also want to study navigation patterns within your own website. You can create several referrer trackers and place one on each page within your website. You'll then be able to study how people are navigating your site. This is useful for finding pages that aren't getting many visits, possibly because links to these pages aren't being seen by your visitors. The script will store up to 1000 referrers, and each can be up to 200 characters in length. Referrers that are over 200 characters long will have excess characters chopped off the end. You will need to upload this script to the same location as the page you want to track referrers on.
